Which do you support or go to more often?

Petco unfortunately. I don't like supporting them but since they moved in and took over the market in my area and shut down our little pet store I have no choice but to get stuff I need from them.

I wouldn't buy an animal at any of those stores. I would not buy anything for my reptiles at Petco because it's right next to their herps, some of which have obvious mite infestations. I buy dog food there because they carry the brand I like to use. I buy substrate at PetSmart because they have what I use and a low price. I order other stuff online or buy it at a small herp store.

My petco's actually pretty clean, I've never seen a dirty reptile cage there and all the ones that have been there for a while look well fed(except the baby leos but they just arrived when I saw them 2 days ago). Turns out the manager of the reptile area owns a lot of reptiles, and she's tried to get them to change them off of sand but they wont let them, its 'company policy'

petsmart on the other hand, doesnt know what they're doing. I used to work for them in another department. they would have to pull me for any reptile information, always giving out the wrong info to people.

Petsmart has better fish, and other than differences between stores that never last long I see no reason to like petco. That said, I see no reasons but crickets and poor planning to go to either with the quality of internet reptile businesses.
