shed help

justinmatthew Aug 25, 2003 11:43 PM

My bp just shed incompletely and after soaking I have gotten all off except for the bits on the head. When soaking his head doesn't get wet, so the shed doesn't come off as easy as the rest of the body. I have tried peeling but he doesn't like to be touched on the head and moves quickly. Any advice?
Thank you in advance.

I had that problem when I first got my ball, trying to do it manually sucks. Why don't you figure out what the problem is to begin with- perhaps increase the humidity in the cage and that will help to complete the shed. I had to place my water bowl over the heater and cover the mesh with plexiglass from Home Depot. He shed the rest a few days later.

I don't know what your setup is so I cannot comment on what you should do. Do you know what the humidity level is?

To solve your problem, put your snake in a "sweat box". Don't know how? Do a search on "sweat box".
