A-list baby

Yes, I know, all that is showing is the frustrating red X box where my photo should be. But if you copy and past the URL address you'll get to see a pretty baby BRB. The last two shed last night and this one is really nice.

It's very annoying, isn't it. This happens to me often, but for some reason the picture showed this time. Just curious, what browser are you using?

It's cumbersome, but you can get the url by going to View->Page Source, and then searching for the text that immediately precedes the picture (or where the picture should have been in the post.)
In this case search for "this one is really nice."
The next img tag after that contains the url, and you can cut and paste it into the address bar in your browser. Again, it's very annoying to have to do this, but for some of these great snake pics, it's worth it.

Thanks,
Ed

Sean,
If the little box with the hated red x shows up you can right click on it, go to properties then copy the url address from there and paste it to your address bar. Its stupid and I'm not sure why this is happening now.
Heres the url address:http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RABMGggTyGesJJeXQhF!loRjRKLkmIpP3yjIDwAtIRjmHGNg401jOX6r5epTSyhTjwMaKTLe0bBNAnnwaXDMzTaddFRG5Zq16CaIGNUCEDw/P1074204.JPG?dc=4675655363616483532
Hopefully the pic is worth the effort!

Very nice looking baby Paul. The URL you posted worked fine.

Also for some reason now your original post shows the picture instead of the red X of DOOM. My browser is windows explorer and is up to date so not sure what the problem was but it's working now. Maybe an issue between the forum site and the picture site that was resolved/refreshed between then and now?

Anyways thanks for sharing,

Sean.

No, the problem is "fixed" for an individual pic when you cut/paste in your browser, then you can se it in the original post as well. Wierd bug!!

With Firefox browser there (sometimes) isn't even a red X, just blank space! That makes it even more annoying, and you have to use the awkward method I described above, as opposed to right clicking on the red X.

I agree with Dave, regardless of browser, once you manually paste the URL in the address bar, then magically the picture does display properly in the post. It's very strange.

I seem to sometimes have a similar problem when posting pics. If I write a message with an image tag, the image will not display unless I edit/preview the message before actually posting it. Does anyone else see this quirk?

I know this is not real important in the overall scheme of life, but since I fix sw bugs for a living, I always feel the urge to figure out stupid stuff like this.

Anyway, it's a beautiful BRB!

Thanks,
Ed
