Boa Cage Question

zeroto4legs Jan 08, 2008 10:47 PM

im drawing up some cage pictures for a friend who hasd a female bol. boa thats around 7-8 ft.
i was wondering if i made the cage 4 ft by 2 ft by 3.5 ft. do you think she would use the height or focus more on ground space and less height. and turn it into a 6 by 3 ft cage by like 18 inches?

can some people post some pics of there full grown boas home made cages.
thanks for the help..

rule of thumb in my opinion is to give them lots of "ground" to stretch. the 6ft long cage is a good idea make it tall enough to be easily accessed for cleaning and getting the snake out and not too deep as to make cleaning a hassle. If possible find a way to make the front sliding doors and the top with a latch system or hinges to make it almost like a big box. just an idea.
