They are well known to be lizard eaters, but they also will eat a pinkie or small mouse, small snakes, it seems as though the younger like grasshoppers and preying mantiss and moths. They like prey that moves or hops, you can't believe the distances these lizards can jump given the inclination when chasing food. They also are stalkers and are quick to overpower their prey. I would not be surprised if they would eat a small bird if it was on the ground and small enough. I have never read of this in literature but they are ferocious. They do get up in the 4-16" range. I've noticed on full stomach they are very much more sedentary when full. At least the young seem to be, as soon as they empty out they become quite active.....I have not decided to feed mine anything other than insects. I am capturing moths, and she likes crickets, and occasional small king mealworm, and other insects. I will be experimenting with roaches this month to see how she does with a few species of roaches, they are cleaner and are easy to raise....
