It's funny, there are a fair number of my snake stamps that depict non-indigenous snakes to the country they represent!

Go figure!..LOL

Actually most of those stamps featuring non-indigenous species of reptiles, birds and other wildlife that you see are being produced by little third world countries who produce a far greater variety of colorful postage stamps than this country does now days. They are producing them MAINLY to sell to the stamp collecting hobby...as opposed to being used for actual postage. It has become a sizable source of income for some of those little economically depressed nations.
