manhattan Jan 10, 2008 01:41 AM

HI everyone,

I have one egyptian hatchling and it always eats less.my vet has check his feces and there's no parasite inside.
I've changed my setting two times, first time I used paper as substrat and second time I used millets until now.

I fed him several vegetables and repcal tortoise food, but he has been less interested in those food.

the temperature of the setting always keeps 30 ˘J and basking spot is 40˘J and cool area is 28 ˘J.

I found his hip bone is obviously seen although he is still aggressive .

could anyone please give me some advices???

Thank you.

The temperatures you mention are celsius? If so, the warm side and basking temperatures are too low. Keep the cool side the same, but raise the warm side to 37C or so. The basking spot should be 49C-50C.

If the cage is small, this will be difficult. The larger the cage, the easier it is to have a wide range of temperatures.

Also, you should check for parasites again. The tests can miss them sometimes.
