rat building

well am almost done with my rat building a little 10ft by 10ft. I have figured out that i suck at framing....lol ,the question i got is if i need to run a vent or not if so what kind. Im using some of happy hillbillies rat plans yall should check them out if u get a chance

I would recommend that you use some sort of exhaust fan. You'll need it during the summer. For a small 10x10 area I would setup a bathroom exhaust fan. Readily available from Lowes, Home Depot, etc.

I would run an exhaust fan. In fact I would probably even run some duct work in one or two wall cavities and have and have a fan that draws air from the floor since the odors produced by rodents tend to settle towards the floor.

But if you can leave the door open with a fan running a couple of times per week then the floor vent is probably overkill.
