I've got a question for keepers of Russian's who use indoor tortoise tables. I've read David Kirkpatrick's paper on building an indoor land tortoise table, but he doesn't address substrate used. In the case of Russians what type of substrate IS used with a tortoise table?

As well, I'd be interested in hearing how Russian keepers have adapted their table design to better suit their tortoises. Please include your table dimensions if you would.

Searching the archived threads of the old forum. I would still like to hear about or see some tables used by Russian tort keepers. I post pictures of mine after it's built.

P.S. Anyone in my geographic area winter their Russian torts outdoors? I get mixed messages on the subject.
