Will Cresties Eat...

ANIMALmenagerie Jan 11, 2008 10:59 PM

Will Cresties eat actual pieces of fruits like bananas and mangos as treats? I was wondering because they don't get CGD in the wild so their fruit must come from somewhere.

Yes of course. I wouldn't consider them treats really. However, if that's all you feed them, they may not get enough vitamin D, nor a very balanced diet.

Mine will eat VERY ripe banana, but that's about it thus far.

Oh, I wasn't going to feed them just that...I just thought it might me nice to give them a piece every once in a while to give them some 'unprocessed' fruit. Thanks.

i've only tried apricot with a couple but it wasn't touched. probably needs to be blended or mashed.
