Here’s your chance to get free “hands-on” experience so you’ll be ready to build your next enclosure with confidence. This cleverly devised class is a simple “follow the instructor” course. Simply follow the instructor step-by-step and keep up with him as we’ve got a lot of cages that need to be built and no time to dilly-dally around.

All tools and materials will be furnished; all that is needed is YOU. For a measly $3 we will provide two meals (peanut butter & jelly sandwich, chips & water) or you can bring your own meals.

*Note: If you wish to use a square you’ll need to bring your own as I don’t own one anymore. I’ve found out that they don’t work anyway.

The first 10 registrants will receive a free carpenter’s pencil. Hurry! Don’t delay! Don’t let this opportunity of a lifetime pass you by.

Gee, I hope this works. I’ve had caging materials for several cages for about 4 months or so now but haven’t had the time. I’m hoping this will get me several cages completed close to within the same amount of time as it would take to do one by myself. Anyone interested? Hahahaha!!!

Have a great day!

"If you're reading, you're not breeding". To say it another way, if you spend to much time on the internet, you aren't taking care of your animals. Turn off the smart box and get 'er done!

Do we get to sample some of the local "Ethanol" if we successfully complete the course?

HappyHillbilly Jan 13, 2008 09:35 AM

Hahaha! Wouldn't it be a hoot if something like this really worked? After thinking about it I probably would take a class that was within an hour so from me just to see different techniques, etc...

As far as me "gettin' 'er done," I wish it was just that easy. I've been runnin' on 4 - 6 hrs sleep per day for the last
several months, and those leftover, "awake" hours ain't spent relaxin'. If I'm gonna goof off it's gonna be on a lake fishin', not Internet, and I've only had my boat in the water once since last spring. Didn't even get to go huntin' this past season. Talk about makin' a fella grouchy.

The reason I have time for forums here & there is because I build & repair PCs part time and can usually have a few running programs or installations & I can post while keeping an eye on 'em.

I've tried using the time between tasks to build cages but it ran me ragged & it's hard for me to work on somethin' for just 15 minutes or so at a time. Plus, just about every time I left this room with PCs running tasks they'll hit a snag & I end up losing time on 'em. Ha! ya'll know how that goes sometimes.

My original post was made about 8:30 Saturday mornin'. I had already put in 6hrs of work, going all day on a measly 2 1/2hrs sleep. Wrapped up the day about 11:30 by reading a few posts but too tired to reply.

As far as potent stuff goes, there's a community just down the road a piece (Hanging Dog, NC) that supposedly topped the nation's list of producin' the best. The last cage building student I dropped off in that area hasn't been seen since, and I doubt he's lost. Hahahaha!!!

Well, I hope ya'll enjoyed the grin. It was my way of relievein' a lil' bit of frustration because I had planned on taking that day to build but had a change in plans. And life goes on. Hahahaha!!!

Catch ya later!

I think that I was very close to you a few days ago. I went to Deals Gap. I could have stopped over and helped you with enclosures and you could have let me sample the local "medicine".

Yeah, Ed, you were roughly an 1 hr. & 15 mins. away, which for around here isn't considered far. I've been here for 13 yrs and haven't made that trek, yet (see, I told ya'll I've been busy. Hahaha). I don't have a bike anymore, either, though.

That's a trek most don't wanna make in a car while straight, much less with medicine, on a bike. Woohoo!!! I ain't the one, not even in my "Hey Days." Hahaha!

There's a few other known bike routes around here, one in TN that goes to/from Tellico/Sweetwater area and another in GA, hwy 60 outside of Morganton, GA. Next time you're anywhere in the area give me a yell and I'll try to meet you on the trail or somewhere that wouldn't be out of your way.

Catch ya later!

I didn't have my bike with me this time. I did the drive in an F150 4x4. Being in Gatlinburg and so close I had to go see the road for sentimental reasons. I only saw 1 bike on the road on Wednesday. We should have hooked up. It would have been nice to meet you.

I did see this guy in Pigeon Forge.

Every time I see a large one I think of how I can build an enclosure big enough to house one. (with substrate of course)

Nice photo.

Was that at RainForest Adventures?

I just found out about RFA last year and have been wanting to go check it out. I figured if it was too small to satisfy me I could shoot on over to the Knoxville Zoo and finish out the day but I don't know what the zoo's got in the way of monitors.

Have a good one!

That picture was taken at RFA. If you go there you will be unhappy with the way the animals are kept. It is interesting none the less.

They had a few types of monitors.
