just got off phone with previous neighbor paniced with ,as the expressed the stomach is coming out of its butt.its a family of girls and they love their BD any help ,Vet was closed.Thanks Chris

The tissue needs to be kept clean, moist and un-injured. Rinse off any substrate, saline for contact lenses is best but water will do. Keep the BD on newspaper or something with a plain clean glass or plastic bottom. Apply some type of lubricant like K-Y, vaseline or even olive oil. The tissue can't be allowed to dry out. If it is just a small prolapse then they can try gently coaxing it back inside where it will be protected until they can get to the vet.
In addition to treating the prolapse the vet will treat the underlying cause which is often parasites. Heavy pinworm infections are common with beardeds. Good luck to them.

I hope all is going well now that it is the next morning. Sugar water will also help keep the swelling down. Dehydration is also another possible cause of prolapses.
