JUNGLOW came home this morning

She is an '06 female produced by Derek Yagi. Thanks Keith for letting her go (I know it wasn't an easy decision). Pics taken indoor with flash.

that girl is awesome...still not too many sunglow jungles around...congrats.

I really like the color separation towards the back...and the eyes are neat, too.

Not to diminish the accomplishment, but can someone please explain to me the rational for breeding a Sunglow to a Jungle. Is it that you get more varieties/possibilities in a litter, with more hets, etc? Or is it that the resulting Junglow will exhibit some stronger more desirable visual traits?
I like the Jungle, but I don't see anything but marginal differences between Junglows and Sunglows.

Breeding the albino gene into jungles is very usefull for making sunglow super jungles. Imagine bright, vividly colored, fully striped sunglows with all orange eyes.

OK. Then, it is an intermediate step to a new as yet unseen morph. That makes sense.
