what are you talking about, i have never had problems viewing animals in tha park, i check in tell them ill be snake hunting, i have spot lighted and never once have i had a problem. never even been stopped. if you dont check in and are running around at night with spot lights then sure you will have a problem.

Check out the new updated regs for Big Bend National park-viewing of wildlife using "artificial lights of any kind-including headlights" is now forbidden.

I guess they are absolutely paranoid about herpers in the park!

thats not necessarly true, they said you can have a flash, i explained my spot light was part of my flash system and that was it. i never have had a problem even with snake hooks etc. they would not be able to enforce such regs successfully, the tax payers would not support such regs that did not allow them to use THEIR park to veiw wildlife. i will be there next year as well and will check in and do as i have done in the past. just don pick up wildlife and you will be fine, hell ive been there with snake bags as well with never a problem. people dont need to fear the park just leave it where you find it!!!!!!!!!

BBNP Administrator's Compendium, Sec 2.2 (e):

"All areas of the Park are closed to the viewing of wildlife with an artificial light.

Artificial light is defined as a flashlight, hand-held spotlight, headlight, exterior vehicle light, or other light, which is emitted from an artificial source...."

Ludicrous-I defy anyone to drive through the park at night and NOT violate this regulation.

I don't need to spend allot of time looking for grammatical errors, the English language was never of much interest to be proficient. besides the avalanche has started and we will all be speaking Spanish or Ebonics in another 5 yrs lol
Besides thats what would all you bussy bodies have to do if it was for the chance to complain or look down on something in the off season. Some folks are good at painting some at construction and others in english and yet others just enjoy to [bleep]. haha

i does hate du fac dat i ben beet outa da tittl ill trys bedder with da next post
