This little male showed up in a litter from a 50/50 Surinam x 50/50 Surinam breeding...both parents were siblings and 100% het Kahl albino...
Here's mom...

And dad...breeding mom's sister a while ago...

There were two stillborn Roswell boas, one 66% het and one albino, that were identical to him, right down to the single saddle and the spot on the tip of the tail...
The aunt of this baby is now gravid by the same father...very excited to see if she has the same gene as her sister...
Thanks!

j/k lol thanks for the info again

Goodluck with the breeding with the sister.Hopefully you have the same luck in reproducing this line witout any losses this time.I bet that albino would have been sweet. Thanks for reposting the pics an good luck to you again.
Eric & Dorothea
Hopefully it's genetic...but it could also possibly be environmental...such as a fluctuation in temps during pregnancy...that's what happened with these Hog Island boas (please note that these are not related to existing patternless lines)

Boy. I like that one. Not genetically reproducible?

"As hard as I've tried, just can't NOT do this"

I'm not placing any hope into this trait being reproduceable, but who knows. My good friend produced these two (a male/female pair) striped/patternless Hog Island boas. They came from his pure, high-contrast line of hogs....they're only a few generations away from w/c lineage...I simply never get around to asking about the exact history behind them. The belly heat failed during the mom's pregnancy so that's why I believe it to be environmental and NOT GENETIC. This has really created much doubt (imho) as to whether or not some pattern mutations really are genetic. The only way to label them genetic with certainty is to do breeding trials....which I'm not willing to do with this pair....I helped my friend with designing a few racks & he gave me these in exchange for my time & troubles. I really like the natural, unaltered appearance of Hog Island boas and hope that these produce beautiful normal babies. If it does turn out to be genetic, I'd probably sell them off since I'll lose my mind if I start one more project.

Hey Carl since the thermostat failed it shut off leaving cool temps correct rather than going full blast? I respect the honesty you have representing your animals cuz lots of people would be selling New patternless line of Hogs on the classifieds right about now
Bob
I'm not really sure about the details behind the temp fluctuations during the mom's preg. since it was not mine. As for representing animals...this is only a hobby for me....I am a h.s. teacher by day....as much as I'd love to make money on snakes...it has yet to happen in the 12 plus years I've been keeping them. Maybe someday I'll possibly make enough to pay for rodents for my animals.lol.
