Carefresh?

reako45 Jan 13, 2008 02:34 PM

Am taking care of my friens '06 female W. Hog and put her and my Hog on carefresh. Curious to see if anyone uses this for their Hogs. Any precautions I should take or any particular negatives I should be aware of. Thanx.

I use to use it exclusively until it started drying out the skin of my hogs. This made it difficult for them to shed. Stay away from it unless you provide a large tub of damp sphagnum.

What do you have them on now, instead of carefresh? I used Sani-chips before or aspen. Some of the aspen I would get would have dust when I poured it into their tanks, and that got me worried.

EITHER shredded aspen by Harland, newspaper, or Cellsorb.
