Reverse Scenting

kcarlson Jan 14, 2008 08:28 AM

Has any body ever tried to reverse scent to get stubburn alterna
to eat pinks. I was using a couple of lizards the other day to get them into a frenzy to eat scented pinks and they just wern't going to give into eating the pinkys. So as I was watching them look for the lizards head I thought why don't I sqeeze some pinky brains all over the top of the lizards head and then let them eat. I figured at least it had to stomach the taste and smell of the pink if they wanted that lizrd to eat.

I take it the animal is or has not been hibernated? You can try to hibernate the animals for 6 to 8 weeks then bring it back up and try a scented or F/t Pinky.

I hibernated them for about 8 weeks. I tried straight pinks and scented pinks for about three weeks with sucess on alot of alterna but it always seems the best ones are a pain in the a$$$.
