Frank,
My apologies for posting this in an open forum, however, I know no other appropriate place to convey this.
I want to thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge, I have cared for herps now for 18 years and largely because of your contributions here and on varanus.net I know the full extent of my ignorance especially around monitors.
I resist this, naturally because I would like to think my experience and knowledge is worth more than it is.
Simply put, it never occured to me that my monitors could teach me anything, after sharing your experiences with me and others the light bulb went off in my head. I have not "listened" to my monitors and as a result I have lost some great opportunities to interact and learn from them.
Recently I obtained a juvenile Argus Monitor, in the past few weeks listening to it tell me what it wants and needs I am enjoying a completely new experience in this hobby that I've never had before.
If it makes any difference at all, please know that your contributions to this forum and others have opened a door for me and I imagine for others as well. Please continue sharing.
And above all,
Thanks!
-Kit
