'07 Stillwater Hypo x Tx

WK Jan 14, 2008 09:05 PM

I picked up this snake in Daytona last year. She eats well as long as you offer rat fuzzies, and has a awful personality. Her growth rate is less than a northern pine I bought the same day (female NP is about 3 inches longer). I posted this snake a while back asking about potential size in a Stillwater x Tx line cross. I'm guessing she will be smaller than the Metzler line NP as an adult.

Great looking girl you got there!
I have an 07 female hypo stillwater x texas very similar to her that also came from Daytona (along with a het male I got from the breeder as well). I bet ours are siblings! lol

Just out of curiousity, how much does she weigh and how long is she?

There is absolutely no reason that this animal should be smaller than a northern pine. both Texas bulls and stillwaters can get huge. My male stillwater (father to all stillwaters out there) is over 7' long and there are many 7'+ texas genetic lines out there.
I really like the contrtast your animal displays. Great looking!
Below is an old pic of my texas bull X Stillwater bull cross.

Thanks for the additional responses. I'm not sure how much this snake weighs, but its about 20 inches long. Yes, she's from the Peace River folks (R. Nimmo, I believe). She has settled into requiring live rat fuzzies and has turned down couple f/t rodents. Ginter, I'm glad to hear she has the potential to be large (assuming her appetite holds out). The Stillwater Hypo patriarch of yours is a gorgeous snake!

WK
