Are you just wondering, or are you thinking about purchasing one. Have you had any other snake expierience before, or is this the first time.

Depends how good of condition, male/female and if it was CB or Wc.

give me a ball park on a male. i dont know what kind it is green with black spots and in good condition

That is a green anaconda. It really depends on the snake, Jv, Adult, WC, or CB.

I got a CB baby green anaconda from ben seigal for $125.00. I must say though, that from your post you dont seem to know much about them, being that you didnt even know what type it is. Not trying to flame, but an Anaconda, or any large boid for that matter, is not something to jump into.

If you really want one, and you arent intending on breeding it, start out with a baby. If you get an older snake it may very well not take to humans. My baby is a little flighty, but hasnt tried to bite once. I was holding her free handed today for about a half hour while I was watching TV, and she was perfectly fine. An adult would be a totally different story, and you would not want to find out the hard way that the snake is not that tame.

Do some reserch first, and hopefully you have some experiance with boids before you do this. If not I would get a red tail boa or a dumerils boa to start off, but that is just my recomendation.

I just watched a show tonight about large constricters. It said that green anacondas so far are the only snakes that do look at humans to kill and eat them. I would be carfull and get a garter snake. I have had "in my opinion" a lot of tiem in with snakes "Burmease pythons, kings, gophers, garters, several diferent boas and then some" I would not take on a green anaconda right now

Don't believe ANYTHING animal planet tells you. In fact, take whatever animal planet says, and do the opposite.
P.S. gartersnakes are rearfanged and mildly venomous.

Aren't you the guy who sold a normal ball python as a pastel and those "red balls". I'm just wondering have they shed out yet to prove anything to anyone? I would recommend staying away from an anaconda cause you don't seem to have the experience from what I've observed.
