Which pair would you keep?

Jonathan_Brady Jan 15, 2008 10:22 AM

I've got 2 males and 2 females I'm trying to decide between as keepers from a recent litter. I thought this would be a fun way to see what people look for in Guyana BCC.

Males:
This guy seems to show the most intense color of all. He has pretty dark contrasting saddles when he's showing color and I love all the random little circles and dashes in his pattern (which are hard to see w/ this picture).

This is the same male but in a lighter phase and you can see the little circles and intersaddles markings that make him so appealing and give him character

or
This guy is AMAZINGLY pastel when he's light that no matter how hard I try, I can't capture w/ the camera. So you'll just have to believe me AND you're stuck w/ just this pic! lol

Females:
This female is VERY much like the first male I have posted minus all the cool little intersaddle markings. Her color also isn't quite as explosive, but she gets NICE!

or

She was the second lightest animal of the litter (dang you Adam for weaseling the lightest one out of my hands!! haha). Even when she's super colorful, I look at her and just think she could REALLY turn up the color later in life.

These pics were obviously taken when they're exhibiting MAXIMUM color (except for the second pic of the first male). When they're light, they're gorgeous, when they're colorful, they're impressive.

Let me know what you think! Which pair should I keep? HELP!

I think they would grow to be better overall and if bred would produce awesome babies.

Male one for sure. It's a toss-up on females. Maybe female one, by a hair.

I would say first male second female, but I'm more of a pattern guy than a color guy.
How many snakes were in that litter again?

I say the first male and the last female. All four are beautiful animals though.

Send them to me and I'll make the decision for you, lol! I like the girl you sent me so much that I can say she'll never leave my collection. I'm a proud owner of a Rose baby. Thanks Jonathon! Adam

I would go with the first male and the first female (placing color intensity first as saddling is similar). Even though they more colorful babies may darken as adults, the color potential in them is too good to pass up. Just send me whichever pair you decide not to keep
