Rainer, are you confused?......

Brandon Osborne Jan 15, 2008 04:43 PM

Your post from below using this pic.

Then a response to DaveB.
"sorry Dave

That is a DH Peanut Butter x hypo. and it is a male that I produced.

Pure stock from s ,dade county though. As both the PB and hypo I had were not outcrossed and came from original stock. So it is a pretty example of what breeders used to strive for before the hypos came along in the early 90's"

Just curious?

Yes I emailed Dave when he pointed it out and explained that I have another snake that looks just like this. I was not sure which snake of mine it was until I looked at the head pattern and compared it. I sent Dave a pic of the one I thought it was and they looked like twins.

The way this happened is I recently decided to put a few pics on kingsnakes host site (which I have not used in years)and rather than transfer pics from my host site (which is a whole lot more work) I used pics that were saved on my computer to make it easier and just transferred those because that was easier. So much for being lazy...

Here is a pic of him I just took in the dark diring brumation. He looks identical to that pic of yours which I have no idea why i saved it onto my pictures but it has been there for a while.

Now I still had to do all that work. Thanks!~ Email me.

WHAT!? Don't you know that nobody is talking to you Chris? LOL! J/k just kidding..

YESS that is the same snake that I produced then sold to you and I got back from you. I always tell people that I would rather get my own stock back than anyone elses floridana.

That is a result from breeding a Beard line hypo to a Peanut Butter. I sold the babies and then realized what a mistake that was. I got this pair back from you and i was real happy but then I lost the female. Now the male has no mate with hypo and peanut butter in it. I don't want to sell him so he is more of a pet that eats up my mouse money.

What is cool is that he is from pure s. dade county stock. Both the PB and hypo that were his parents were not outcrossed to anything. Those genes in the Beard hypo have been laying stagnant and are from the early days of herpers trying to get the best possible high yellow normals from that area. Something you don't see much of in the hobby any longer. Of course the PB gene has not been established as long so all my parent groups are directly from the original w/c.
