I stopped forcing feeding Beanie and..

Linda G Aug 26, 2003 11:06 AM

it did not work. 5 days later I went back to feeding her.

My vet here in town did a consult with a Dr. Mori near Chicago
on Monday. She is out of town the rest of the week so I am
hoping to hear something next week.

I just cannot figure it out!!! The really weird thing is
she has gained a few grams?? How is this possible?

We were force feeding our rescue because he refused to eat greens and regular iguana food. (Being fed only pizza and spegitti most of his life). And i remember reading a post of yours a while ago , but i dont remember how often you forced fed.
We made the mistake of feeding him every day. Witch turned out that we were feeding him to much. Feeding him once every three days is what we were told to do by our herp vet. And if i'm wrong correct me. but i thought i read that you were feeding him every day or so. So 5 days without food , if that's right , wouldnt be to bad realy. Your just going to have to try again and wait longer. Of course talk to your vet before you do. he might have another oppinion. But IMO of course. No animal will let its self starve to death just because it's to lazy to eat. Just keep fresh food with him at all times and let him alone with it for a week or so. He will eat. Be Strong.
