Humidity level for Macklot's.

Mirmire Jan 15, 2008 05:15 PM

I can't seem to find this info on any of the on-line care sheets. What's a good humidity range for an adult Macklot's python? Thanks!

Truthfully I've never checked. Room level, I guess. Never any shedding problems, and I've had copulation in the past month. My female is about 8'.

Hi,

Macklot's python need higher humidity levels at about 75-85%. If you provide a large water bowl where the snake can also swim in it will be readly accepted. These guys also "digg in the dirt". If humidity is down for a while they will recognize it as dry season and will hide being inactive...

Cheers,
Wulf
