you take some damn good pictures....what camera are you using? It is a digital isnt it? My macro doesn't have anything on yours

It has a pretty good Macro lens. I own a frame shop/art gallery and I do art and photography that I sell out of the gallery.
The cham pics were done with just lighting from the UV lights. I noticed their colors show better in natural lighting. The flash will tend to wash the colors out. The trick is not moving the camera while taking a picture or it blurs without a flash.
A flash tends to stop the action because it will work with a faster shutter speed.
For my work I usually use a Nikon F100 with a 200mm macro lens. It's macro is a thousand times better than this digital. My scanner is not up and running. When I get it set up I will take a close up of cham skin and post it. It looks awesome magnified.
I use a ring flash with that for even lighting. The flash fits on the end of the lens and is an actual ring shape.
I have my dad's old 35 mm camera with a couple of nice different lenses. No macro though. Are lenses pretty standard? I mean, if I buy a nikon lens, with it fit a Canon camera? Or will a newer canon macro lens fit my dad's older canon camera? The camera is probably 12-15 years old but was top quality at time of purchase
Thanks
