cuttle bone

hey
A week ago i bougt cuttle bone and put with my slider-whole.But he hasn't been eating it and turtles are suppose to chow down on them all the time aern't they?I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me since i do want my turtle to have plenty of calcium and to be healthy-thanx.

You might try breaking it into smaller pieces. Some turtles have a harder time with it than others. It might also take a little time for your turtle to get used to it. I didn't have any problems, but my turtles bite anything stinky that floats.

It that doesn't work, you can try dusting their food with calcium powder.

Besides breaking it into smaller pieces, don`t forget to take off the hard backing (shell) first.
