Dark Phase Corn Island

jonathan-m Jan 15, 2008 09:07 PM

Hello all,
this guy is just getting ready to go into a shed, so I thought I'd take some pics to show the difference in their dark and light phases. I think they turned out pretty good!
let me know what you think

and this was taken a few weeks ago, in one of his lighter phases

Thanks for looking,

Jon

My Corn Islands are '07s and have never shown a light phase.
Is that normal? Does anyone know?

I dont believe there is a definitive answer to that,I have some litter mates(different years, different litters) that that have been light thru their first year while their sibs retained the darker phase and have yet to really get into a light phase. Then there are two that flip all over the spectrum and have since birth.

Ones things is for certain .....no morph can touch'em

Nice contrast photos, they work well. Most of the CA Boas are so chameleon like with their different color phases as your photos so clearly capture.

cheers, John
