Are their any people here who have or have had Calumma Parsonii ? I have 2.3 Orange Eyes at this moment. Here a picture of my male

I kept a pair for about 6 or 7 yrs. Of all the chameleons I have kept over the years they were hands down the best and quite honestly they were about the favorite species of reptile I have worked with period (it would be a toss up between them and water monitors which I still work with.) In fact if you ever went to an amusement park in the adirondacks of N.Y. called Enchanted Forest/Water Safari in the mid-90's you may have seen them there as I ran the petting zoo for the park. I kept them there because I spent so much time at the park (60 to 70 hrs a week) that I talked the owner into letting me set some of my animals up on display so I would actually get to see them in my waking hours. The climate of the western adirondacks during the summer suits parson's very well btw. I ultimately moved to fl. where I live now and much to my surprise I continued to do good with them. I would keep them outside during the fall winter and early spring and keep them inside during the summer. They do much better here than I would have expected them to do as long as they have space and you keep them hydrated ("humid" florida is a myth unless you live on the coast.) I currently work with panthers and oustelletts and while the oustelletts are somewhat cool they just don't quite compare to parsons. If I had the money I would get another pair in a heartbeat. If they sold for $30 a piece I'd have a hundred of them. I saw cites put the kabosh on them while I had them and watched how prices for them rose. The irony of that whole thing is that before that dealers couldn't get rid of them. I know a former importer in south fl. who once told me he had his warehouse full of them before that ban and he couldn't move them at $35 each because everybody was afraid they wouldn't eat(which is funny because mine ate like pigs- although my female was a long term captive...my male was an import.) I hope you do good with yours I am sure I don't have to tell you how fantastic they are as chameleons go.
