I'm not trying to be a smart aleck, know-it-all, or anything like that, I just want to make sure we don't mislead anyone on a health issue.

I'm sure the "froze & thawed" comment was a stretch of the imagination so I'll not go there.
I don't know about you but I do know your snake was very lucky, fortunate, or whatever you want to call it. While it's not a guaranteed RI or death I do believe the odds are in favor of "most likely."
Even with the slightest chance of a snake getting RI from being exposed to what is "extremely cold" temperatures, as far as the snake is concerned, why in the world would ANYONE want to take one out for a stroll?
The guy made a conscious decision to endanger the snake's health. It's not like his car broke down while transporting the snake. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would even try to transport a reptile without caring for it's needs.
As for "I did it once without problems," I've ran a red light before without getting into or causing, a wreck. Anyone want to give it a try? Ha! Ha!
Relax, don't take that personally or get offended by it. Here's ya something below to take your mind off of it.
This guy picked up a hitchiker. When they came upon a red light in town the driver stomped the gas & sped right thru it.
"Whoa! What the heck are you doing" asked the hitchiker?
The driver smiled & said, "My brother drives like that."
Next traffic light they came upon was red. Driver stomps the gas & speeds right thru it, too.
"What are you doin'? Stop the car, I'm a gettin' out!" said the hitchiker.
The driver laughs and says, "Relax. My brother drives like that."
The very next traffic light they came upon was green. The driver hit the brakes, locked 'em up, and slid to a stop just before entering the intersection.
"What the .....? What the heck's wrong with you, man? Are you crazy?" asked the hitchiker.
The driver looked over at him & said, "My brother might be coming."
