Vet Visit

crimsonghost Jan 17, 2008 07:44 AM

Does an iguana need to visit the vet? I am not certain of the age of an iguana when you purchase them (I bought this guy from Petco nearly 6 months ago, I didn’t even realize its been that long). Do they require regular check-ups? I would like to bring him to have his nails clipped, I have no interest in doing that myself.

i would do a vet checkup with a reptile vet twice a year maybe for blood work and to make sure your iguana is healthy ,
they could probley give you a estamte about your iguanas age but probley not like the right age depending on the iguana and how they are taken care of wise they only can geuss ,
i adopted my iguana they told me shes 3 1/2 years old and shes only about 3-4 feet shes not very big but her adittude dilotes that alot lol

good luck
