If I ultimatly put retic's in a 8' long cage would 24" width be to thin? and whats a good workable height? I had only seen two out of the three "popular" cage makers that had the larger cages. secondley what I would like to do is find an eight footer that I can put a divider in so they can grow into the same cage instead of me buying bigger and bigger cages as time goes on,plus I was thinking maybe I can stack four footers on each side atop of the eight foot cage. Any ideas folks? many thanks

we have a few cages that are 7' long- 4' wide and 4' tall-- they have 2 shelves and a HUGE water 'dish'.

we are looking to get or build some new cages that are about the width of what you described...

We had a 10 ft. burm in one that was 8 ft long, 2 ft wide and 2 ft tall....

She could barely strech out- thats when we built the bigger cages...

I still have that cage and use it on occasion for smaller things...

hey i just put my freedom breeders into my reptile room i can post pics after tonight or tomorrow but i think they are 33 inches wide....might be wrong but they are huge. I'm not sure if you already have cages or are looking to buy some but i love them. very happy with them 16 inches tall great access to the animals and my 6.5 footer looks like a lil cricket in them right now.... i'll get pics up later for ya

My retic isnt big enough for something that big YET, but i got my cages from animal plastics and i got an 8' cage and requested a removable divider in the middle and did identical heatting on each side of the divider and i use it for my blood pythons right now

Looks Awesome! thats what I was thinking of going for. Thanks for giving me the actual visual of it lol. I also thought about the boaphile expandable cages with the corner unit, so i can use the dead space in the corners of my snake room. many thanks for sharing

i like the boaphiles too, i might end up getting a couple 48" stackable units myself in the future from them
