Orangasm Moonglow vs. Moonglow

SW_Reptiles_ Jan 18, 2008 12:30 AM

When I picked up my Orangasm Triple Het from Frank Martin I just figured it was a kick ass hypo. But check out the difference between a regular Moonglow and an Orangasm Moonglow. The Orangasm Moonglow has stayed as white as a piece of paper… it is just crazy how much of a difference in color they both are. I mean a moonglow is an amazing animal but the Orangasm line is just so much more amazing!

This pic is the best to show the comparison

That is interesting. It's almost like the more color there is to take out using the anery gene the more color the anery gene will take. I'd like to see if that theory proves out. Trey

Very interesting. I think the orangasm is a very underappreciated
morph. I have been fortunate to visit Frank on a regular basis over the last few years and have seen a number of different orangasm animals alone or in combination with other morphs and have always been impressed with the Orangasm animals and how they differ from non Orangasm littermates from babies to adults.

Regarding your Moonglows they both are good looking and the one is outstanding. The concept of more colorfull animals making whiter snows/moonglows has never been demonstrated so well. I believe Tracy Barker thought that the Pewters were dramatic anerys for the same reason but I don't remeber any follow up on that; it would be great if Tracy could post a pic of an adult Pewter to see if it really makes a better anery.

I am fortunate to have produced a Moonglow myself last year and I think it is a very interesting morph. It will be interesting to see how yours develop over time. Congratulations on producing such fine animals.
