dcjketner Jan 18, 2008 10:27 AM

I've placed my male and female together...I've separated them a couple of times. My male is feeding great, my female is not, I've offered 3 times now and still hasn't taken the food. How much longer should I keep offering. I now they go off feed during breeding season. any advise ???

You answered your own question..."they usually go off feed during breeding season." I offer my breeder females every 2 weeks during breeding season, they do not eat everytime. I still offer my males every week but I offer much smaller food items, don't want them to get fat and lazy, just keep the motabilizm up. Hope this helps.

I offer both male and female prey every 7 days during the warm months and every 14 days through winter, My female just took her first meal in almost a month, For some reason she just dose not eat as much as the male dose, They are both healthy and gaining weight so no problems
