Just wondering if I can switch off all of the lights at night. My room gets around 62* during the winter.
Your room would be too cold then. You don't want it to drop much below 70. A ceramic heat emitter would be a good thing to invest in for the winter months - heat but no light for the night time.

In winter, our house gets to 62-63 degrees at night. I use a CHE at night to keep the enclosure temps in the low 70s. The CHEs come in a lot of different watts, so you may have to play around with different ones to see what works for you.

Yes, it can, but they aren't exposed - they're tucked away in burrows where it isn't so cold.
