Cage Size for Adult

SJL Jan 18, 2008 06:07 PM

I'm adopting a 3 yr old Borneo ST from a reptile rescue. They have it in an 8'long x 2.5' deep x 3' hi cage. The snake is five feet long. Everything I've read says a 4 x 2 is adequate, so I ordered a Boaphile 4 x 2 x 17" for it. I'm now concerned this isn't big enough. This isn't a breeder but a docile pet. What do you folks think? Thanks.

I have a couple of big Bloods that fit just fine in similar sized housing. They can stretch out full length at an angle, and the size allows for a temp gradient.
Good luck with your new ward!
