i know of a few breeders who use pinkie mice, they are really fatty thou so use with caution or you could have yourself a java the hut for a dragon

Hard boiled eggs are a normal part of a dragons diet. Reptiles magazine had an article a few months ago about gout in reptiles being caused by feeding them the wrong kind of protein. So I wouldn't risk it. Pinkies and waxworms are too fatty. You want your dragon to increase in lean mass not fat deposits that could attach to organs etc.

I take in rescues. I only get the ones that are too sick or injured to be placed in normal homes. I feel I can put the right weight on any dragon. It's really simple. Give them full time access to a variety of live food as well as salad. I might offer crickets twice a day to an underweight dragon but in between he/she will have a bowl of either, silkworms, or superworms. Then I offer by hand hornworms or butterworms.

In December a local animal hospital sent me one of their patients. She is 3 years old and was never given the proper access to UVB and Calcium. She was 171 when she came to them. She is 240 now even after treating her for parasites. I never force feed just sometimes I put a worm right in front of her nose to prompt her to eat it.

Eggs are not a good food item for bearded dragons. I suggest sticking to the foods and portions suggested at the following website:

www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/home.html

The best way to increase a dragon's weight is not to give him 'junkfood' but to give him full access to healthy foods, well balanced salads, good insects etc. Silkworms, superworms, butterworms and hornworms sprinkled ontop of finely chopped greens ensures some greens are eating with the worms, for those dragons stubborn about eating their salads.

Offer live insects, all they can eat in a 10 minute period and leave greens available at all times.

It takes awhile to get good healthy weight on animals but start with giving them all the food they can eat. With access to healthy food and proper husbandry (heat, lights etc) they will put on weight.

If these are the same two dragons you were asking about whether they are fighting or breeding, and they are underweight, I suggest you don't try and breed them at all, keep the female separate.. better for her to not have to deal with laying eggs while being underweight, that will just put more stress on her.
