Hi all ...
We have what we think is a 2 yr old male Mali, but want to confirm it before we get our new enclosures. Here is a pic of his genital area:

Is he a male or do we need to change the name? LOL
Thanks in advance

At that size (assuming your's is 10" or more in total length) almost all males already have heads clearly turning black as well as the legs and upper tails. If yours is still all tan, it's probably a female .
Also to sex by examining the vent, you need to show us more of the tail so we can look for hemipenal bulges. Both sexes have femoral pores so you can't usually go by those.
Doug
The face and head are starting to get a darker color as he sheds .. more yellow on the tail and back.
He/she is just over 9" Long SST. I'll try to post better pics.
