Hey Joe...

Nice Snake.. and nice pic too! I purchased my first Digital SLR (Canon Xti) a week ago and just took it out of the box today and started playing around with it. I am hoping to get some better pix out the SLR compaired to my old point and shoot..

I would sure love to see some of your alterna pic's..

I don't know, but baby Mexican Hognose may be the coolest snake on the planet.

Hey looking forward to seeing some new shots with the rebel, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it pretty quick.

Most of my alterna photos are old, and bad! lol

Nice!!! Looks like south texas maybe??? I had a small colony of south texas specimens and they are hands down the nicest looking kennerlyi in my opinion. Heres an Arizona one playing dead. Kevin

Thanks Kevin,
West Texas. I don't see how a Hog could be prettier than some of these but I haven't seen any south Texas kennerlyi in about 30 years. They must be pretty!

If the S. Texas hoggies are nicer, I need to find some! The ones I've found in the Trans-Pecos absolutely Rock!

Joe-that is a nice animal-is it down brumating still? I'll be waking ours up in a couple weeks.

Awesome hog! I've seen a few from trans pecos and they are killer! Never owned one though. Kevin

Some of my south texas kennerlyi were kind of darker, but alot of them were brick red colored on top,I had a washed out whitish patterned female kennerlyi that was caught in del rio that had to be my all time favorite kennerlyi! Wish I had pics, but it was about 12 years ago. Kevin

Mine are from the same place as Brad's. There are lights and darks, but I have yet to see any real reds in there. We'll see though.

Here's another little screamer male. One of my favorites though is a darker animal with real good contrast, another male.

Here's another male for fun:
