Well since thayeri are still my favorite (even though I'm not breeding them any more) I'd have to say my 2nd favorites are now balls followed by Trans Pecos rats.
Enjoy,
Russ

Russ those are fantastic, I really love the Trans Pecos.

Thayeri too are my favorites and Mex Mex are my second favs. I really like the variations, subtle but cool.

Well, Thayeri were my #1 favorite snakes until recently. The Brazilian Rainbow Boa has taken over the #1 spot, but Thayeri are still very close behind them!

Aubrey,
ARe you able to handle those rainbows w/o getting bit? Are they fairly docile? I once saw some at a show in San Diego they were hatchlings and I really wanted to hold them. The guy selling them said "go ahead" but I warn you they are fiesty. He was right....as soon as the boa hit my hand it tagged me several times. They are very pretty.

Russ... they are very nippy as babies, but quickly get over it. All my Rainbows are super tame. I do have one adult female that got REALLY grumpy when I was cooling her, but she's better now that she's feeding again, lol.

Aubrey,
they are really beauiful, I especially like the one of you and your rainbow.
I used to have some but mine never tamed down I got nabbed everytime I put my hand in the cage, they were super fast too.

Thanks Michelle, yeah they can be pretty fast when they want to be. Maybe someday you'll get a pair again, and hopefully have better luck with them!

Aubrey,

Ha! Ha! That was great..."One rabbit stew coming right up!"

Who did you acquire her from and any idea on her heritage/lineage? She is exquisite!

She is an '05 from Dan Vermilya. Here are pictures from Dan V. of her parents:

Here she is as a wee thing:

And here she is about 8 months ago:

I sure am excited to see what kinds of babies she produces. We'll see if she produces this year though, being it her first time.

Aubrey,

Do you still have SerpentDan's ID numbers for the parents? If so, can you email me and let me know?

Thanks Craig! She has been a slow grower, like her sister over in Alaska, but she is just big enough to where I feel comfortable giving her a try this year. We shall see what she thinks about it.

After thayeri, I would have to say my next favorite species are Kunasir Island Ratsnakes. I have 2.3 of them including a pair of albinos. They are very docile, extremely pretty (green and turquoise), and IMO under-appreciated.
