Hi, Can anyone help, Just rescued a couple of red ears from the animal centre, at first i thought it was two females upon closer inspection one is a male, but is very under weight his body is really withdrawn into the shell so much that instead of having a long thick tail his tail looks like a girls, His previous owner must not have realised he was supposed to have long pretty claws as they have been cut back to the skin, Has anyone else had a male that has lost its claws as i would like to know if they will grow back, i have heard reports that they do and reports that they dont! any one know? thanks for the help

I`ve heard of turtles regaining claws that they have lost completely, but it is supposed to take a fairly long time.
