What are My Snakes Doing...Wrestling?

ExecutiveReptiles Jan 21, 2008 02:55 PM

......LOL

Please excuse the messy enclosure....didn't want to disturb them to clean up...

Well, we had big plans for this year with our Irian Jaya Carpet Python project, but that didn't pan out....love it when Females you buy actually turn out to be males...lol:rolleyes: Oh well, so just for fun I threw a young Blonde Pastel Male Ball Python in with one of our Big normal females, just for kicks.....and what do you know...within a few hours this is what we found...

Got all excited at the idea we might still get to incubate some eggs this season....well they lost interest, we seperated them for a few days and introduced them back together only to find no interest AT ALL...for several days....NOT even getting close to each other....so we figured oh well, it was exciting to see at least a little action...lol SO......we seperated them and I thought...hmmm...what the hell, lets see if our Cinnamon Male would like to become a man....well, within a few hours of introduction....

I am really hoping the Cinnamon gets her, as I would like to see some Cinnamons hatch out...but Pastels would be cool too, and like Amanda said last night....hell...even normals would be fun to hatch out...lol

The fun thing is we TOTALLY didn't even plan on doing anything with ball pythons this year, and just figured the males where too young...and putting them together was more out of boredom than really trying to produce anything, and to see them locked up was REALLY surprising...

Fun stuff...I have just gotten to the point now, where it doesn't really even matter what species we are breeding, its still such a high to watch and be involved in the process of bringing more snakes into this world...lol:D
