Female boa breeding size

python2000 Jan 21, 2008 05:41 PM

I asked about breeding size of surinams (that i have) and it came out that for females it is about 4 years old. What about boa c. imperator? As i thought it is 3 y.o for females, 2 y.o for males, is that right?
Thank you!

Flavio

It's not so much size as it is size, age, and weight. Generally speaking, the MINIMUM requirements are 10 pounds, 3 years, and 6 feet though there are exceptions both ways occasionally. Males can breed at 18 months.
