Brewster is a big durn county. If you draw horizontal line at 29°52' everything below that is south Brewster county (3,100 sq. miles).
Extreme southern Brewster there's a ton of habitat between Terlingua and Lajitas that is not park land.
Did anyone ask him where they are from?

Yes, Pepper's Hill is a point at the end of a large Limestone Ridge in southern Brewster county between Terlingua and Lajitas. I own some land pretty close by.

South Brewster, could be lots of places outside BBNP
along hwy 170 from just West of Lajitas to 118 (Lajitas, Peppers Hill)
118 (Christmas etc)
Southern 385 (very very limited hills get close to the road in a few places)
2627 (Black Gap)
and a multitude of private areas such as Terlingua Ranch..
The only way to find out for sure would be to ask the seller.

The Brewster county alterna that were just on kingsnake.com for sale were panther junction locality...
Bill
Isn't that in BBNP???????? Thought that was the junction to go north on 385 or east to Boqillas canyon but maybe I'm wrong. BA
Could also be 3 or 4 localities in the park. Green Gulch, Castolon, Boquillas and Panther Junction. BA
So has anyone figured out if those nice adults - or baies from south brewster are legal to sell or ok to buy?
Jim
I didn't email or ask. I don't want to assume anything, bad or good.
I was just curious what all localities were down there.
Hope all is well.

I know the story,
there was a "gravid" animal found around panther junction many moons ago.It gave birth and a couple were spread around and one ended up being bred to a x-mas animal (I think it was x-mas) and there you have it.
I am about 99% sure they aren't pure panther junction animals.Just ask Dan he has the story.
Shannon
I would rather not be any part of an animal that "might" have any connection to BBNP, not even some small or remote part.
If I do not know for a first hand fact, then I do not have to worry about being involved in any fallout that may come.
When the $&!% hits the fan it is not evenly distributed... in fact it is best to just not be in the room.
I will say that the one with diamond shaped saddles did remind me a little of the pictures of that very early days X-mas / Gap cross... Just did not have the same bright color and that was my ounce of hope.
