Couple finds today

Calhoun county, Texas, same old spot, usual suspects, lol. Well I had to get a fix today, it was 70 and drizzling. I thought some things would be under ac but above ground. Totals for the day were 2 Texas rats, 2 Gulf coast ribbons, 1 Gulf coast toad, 1 ground skink and 1 anole, saw 1 unidentified turtle in the water, probably a red eared slider or maybe a common snapper. Nice little warm up, the big Texas rat was under his usual board but the smaller one was at the other end of the same sheet of plywood.

Always cool to see stuff out and about in the winter, esp. the T-Rats and the Bufo valliceps (one of my fave Bufos). We're getting some nice rain here in SoCal, and I can't wait for it to warm up a bit. I didn't get out herping during our last string of days in the 70's & low 80's.

Happy 33rd Day of Winter,

Cool post and nice finds as usual, Todd! My Coastal Plains Toads were not home today, but a couple ground skinks were. No pics though...
