has this happened to you before??

my ball killed a small rat and than just left it? man i was so happy that she was gonna eat this nice fat rat and than just goes in her hide and doesnt come back out? i left the rat in there for 30 minutes but than i had to leave so that rat was wasted. who can share there same crappy story with me??

Yeah, I've had that happen a few times. Sometimes they will eat it later and sometimes they don't. I guess they kill by instinct every once in a while even if they're not hungry.

yeah every couple of months my 3100 gram normal female will kill then not eat ive tried everything to avoid it with no gains. But what can u do

I see that alot this time of year. It's like they grab it out of instinct - then their biological clock kicks in and tells them it's not time to eat yet.

Don't see it a lot but have had it happen. Luckly everytime it has happened to me I have been able to wiggle it in from of one of my more aggressive eaters and they usually take it. That way I don't waste it.

My Caramel does it all the time. He likes to start off with a mouse, then I try a rat and about 50% of the time he kills it and then leaves it. Very annoying indeed.

Had one just take a small mouse and didn't eat it. I just froze it and thawed it later and he ate it, which really pumped me up since that was the first time he ever took f/t for me.
