Necessary to cool below 70f?? I was told I could cycle them with my BP's and be fine!! However, they don't seem to be "slowing down" at all!!?? Thanks in advance

well, its a fine line I think. I have also heard that they can be just cooled around 70 with no ill affects.

But, at 70 they will still be active enough and wanting to eat.If you feed them then chances are it will be to cold for them to digest there meal and you will run into all kinds of problems. If you choice not to feed then they will loose weight and again its kinda going backwards.

For me there really is no happy medium. Its either put them down or keep them up.Ove the years I have tried about everything and I always get the best results just putting everything down.

Good luck,

Shannon

go to a kingsnake fourm and look up on a recent thread about this. it's a long thread with everybody's way/set up for cooling or not to cool. some say cool in 40's while others say to cool in the 50's. so which ever works for some of us. like Shannon said try not to keep your snakes in the 70's or even 80 deg and not feeding them because you will be starve the snakes.
