I not quite sure and i just want another opinion on this but is it true that if the vitamin you use to dust the ff is expose to air for a long period of time it loses its' effect? I use Rep-Cal if that affects your answer or not.

... vitamins decompose and breakdown after exposure to air. Vitamins without a shelf life printed on them (most don't but Herptivite does) should be used within a year at best. Also, premixed vitamin and mineral mixes have a shortened shelf life. Storing supplements in a cool dry location will lengthen their shelf life.
