I have a new baby female Manokwari Green Tree Python, she is set up in a 12x12x18 exo-terra terrarium currently. I've been keeping the humidity between 70-90%, my thermostat temp at the (top) of the terrarium varies between 82-78 degrees day and night using a infra-red heating lamp. Base thermostat reads 70-72 degrees. I have her in a small enclosure currently cause I wanted her to feel secure, yet the exo-terra is still appealing. She seems to have adjusted well, but I was wondering if this is the best way to heat her. I plan on upgrading to a 36x24x24 when she is big enough to do so. I've read heat panels are great, but I would think it probably isn't the best idea right now since they wouldn't give a good horizontal gradient since the current terrarium is only 12" wide and so I'm using vertical gradient. Are my temperatures good for her? Is the heating lamp ok? Any advice would be nice. She is beautiful and my first GTP so I want her to have the best. Thanks
