Need advice: ILL Leopard Tort

wing Jan 23, 2008 09:56 AM

I have a 10 month old Leopard Tortoise Stygmochelis/Geochelone Pardalis Babcocki. One night I noticed a bubble coming out of its one nostril. It's not often though. It happens sometimes and it sleeps a lot, doesn't move much, and doesn't eat much (at all). Which confirms that it's sick. What can I do with it?

It's a pet no different than a dog or cat.

If it was a simple thing you might be able to work it out through the net or chats or lists or whatever but from your discription the animal is in serious stress... nose bubbling, lethargic... it's sick. It needs to be looked at by a vet.

Man... that was rude... sorry... but that is the point.

good for you EJ, rude is less important then the life of a tort that is dependant on human care, don't take on the commitment if you aren't ready or prepaired to see it through. We need more people that care about life, conservation, over having a pet.
