Anyone notice that male ctenosaurs seem to grow much, much faster than females?

I got a few baby similis just a few months ago and the one I assumed was male went from being the smallest of the group to the largest....he is doing a ton of head bobbing and already beggining to show secondary sexual charecteristics (pronouned femoral pores and crest) while the females have barely grown and still have hatchling coloration
